The Yacht Club de Monaco boasts the prestigious signature of internationally renowned architect Lord Norman Foster. With over 200 projects to his credit, he has won 650 awards and prizes for excellence, including the RIBA (Royal Institute of British Architects) Gold Medal, the Gold Medal of the Académie Française d’Architecture and the 1999 Pritzker Prize, the highest distinction in the world of architecture.
Eager to offer solutions to the environmental issues of our time, the Y.C.M. has been committed since January 1, 2018 to ensuring that its electricity consumption is generated from renewable energy sources (Egeo Certification guaranteeing us a supply of electricity from renewable sources). An initiative that echoes the various actions already put in place in the past, as evidenced by the ISO 14001 certification obtained in June 2016, a managerial approach that confers on the Club the status of an eco-responsible company.
As part of its CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility) policy, the Yacht Club de Monaco is carrying out a number of initiatives, such as recycling water from its swimming pool using technology developed by the company FGWRS. This sustainable approach contributes to the preservation of the environment and the responsible management of water resources. The recycled water is returned to the pool, in particular during the filter cleaning sequence, instead of the drinking water normally used for this purpose. Since June 2023, a total of 128.29m3 has been reinjected monthly.
