J/70 – WLS – Martigues
The Pink Wave Sailing Team representing Yacht Club de Monaco put in a fine performance this weekend to finish 10th in the overall ranking of the WLS (Woman Leading Sailing) in Martigues.
Comprising Anne Schouten, Manon Tondu, Anne Rodelato, Emma Konieczny, Namu Van Der Linden and Louise Debeaumont, the Monegasque team left their mark on this all-female event.
Namu Van Der Linden and Louise Debeaumont are true local talents having trained from a young age at the YCM’s Sports Section in the competition unit on Optimists, ILCA and Nacra 15 before joining the J/70 circuit. Emma Konieczny sailing in her first regatta with the team started on Omega boats for several seasons before joining the J/70 fleet.
The Pink Wave Sailing Team who stand out for their energy and commitment on the WLS circuit continue to prove the rise of female crews. This 10th place reflects the work accomplished last season and the preparation done by YCM sailors entering the circuit.
