After a week of changeable Sardinian conditions, YCM member Andres Soriano and his crew on Alegre left Porto Cervo with a well-earned 3rd place.
After a solid start to the regatta, including 3rd in the second race, the YCM-flagged TP52 raced with impressive consistency. In a Mistral blowing over 25 knots, Andres Soriano and his men even led the fleet in the provisional ranking before ceding to Sled who went on to win the event.

Alegre on the attack from start to finish

Friday saw lighter yet trickier conditions when Alegre held fast against pressure from Provezza to maintain their provisional podium ranking.
There was no racing on Saturday due to lack of wind, which meant the standings stayed the same with Sled the winner, followed by Phoenix in 2nd and Alegre completing the podium.
As a result, Andres Soriano finished the season on a high in 6th place overall after five stages of a highly competitive edition with 12 of the 13 boats entered having won at least one race in 2025.
