Conditions were particularly challenging at the Marina Jandía venue in the Canaries with winds of 15 rising to 20-plus knots in a rough sea and pressure variations that required constant adaptation. Despite the difficulties, YCM teams demonstrated their ability to stay on track, manage the transitions and convert technical prowess into concrete results.

An intense regatta where consistency paid off

The week stood out for the rise of a consistent GeMera Racing who achieved a perfect final day with three back-to-back race wins that reshuffled the overall ranking. Faced with this impressive performance, YCM member Vladimir Prosikhin (Team Nika), the reigning title holder succeeded in securing a second consecutive title. Their consistency throughout the year is embedded in the DNA of YCM teams.

At this fifth and final event of the season, Vladimir Prosikhin came 2nd ahead of Torbjorn Tornqvist’s Artemis Racing in 3rd and Nico Poons’ Team Charisma in 7th.

Yacht Club de Monaco victory: Team Nika concludes a dominant season

Armed with a comfortable lead on arrival in Fuerteventura, Team Nika were determined to maintain their position. Despite a difficult regatta with several close finishes lost in the final metres, the crew stayed focused and disciplined for those who have watched their progress over the last few seasons.  This is their second season title in a row that validates their approach which involves:

– methodical preparation,

– working hard on boat speed,

– unwavering cohesion,

– and remaining competitive even when “not at their best”.

In the annual ranking out of 12 teams, Team Nika emerged the winner, while Artemis Racing came in 4th ahead of Team Charisma in 5th. A great result for the Monegasques.

A dynamic sporting environment that attracts newcomers and raises the bar

The RC44 class is going from strength to strength. New boats built this season, the arrival of ambitious teams like GeMera Racing and the consistency of established leaders contribute to an increasingly competitive environment.

A 2025 season paving the way for 2026 ambitions

Results this year show solid progress. Whether aiming to win, a podium finish or improving skills, YCM teams are committed to keeping up the momentum.

Team Nika winning the title, and Team Charisma and Artemis Racing at the forefront shows that every appearance by Yacht Club de Monaco members on the start line is a sign of high-level competition.

New sporting challenges and circuits, and YCM members determined to remain at the top-level, confirms Yacht Club de Monaco’s presence on the international scene and fosters a culture where results translate into a victory for Monaco.
