YCM impresses in classic yachting with podium finishes in four categories

It was a successful season for classic yachts flying the Monaco flag as evidenced by the 2025 CIM rankings. YCM member boats participated in all the major regattas in Spain, Italy, France and Monaco and proved very consistent during these events. To be eligible for the CIM Classic Yacht Trophy, each boat must have a valid CIM rating and have participated in at least three events on the CIM circuit in two countries. This year, one of the major events of the 2025 calendar was the biennial Monaco Classic Week.

Gaff cutter: Viola in the lead

In the Vintage gaff, Kostia Belkin and Viola topped the overall ranking. The gaff cutter was awarded the Neptune Trophy 2025, confirming her international stature and dominance in this very competitive group of 29 CIM-rated boats.

Big Boats: Mariella on the podium

In the Big Boat category, Carlo Falcone’s Mariella secured 3rd place out of a fleet of 20 high-profile boats, her consistent results at major events securing her place in the top three.

Marconi Classic: Argynne III in second

Now sailing under the Monaco flag, Argynne III came 2nd in the Marconi Classic category out of a strong field of 63 boats thanks to a string of solid results, confirming her status as a top contender.

IOR Classic: Il Moro di Venezia on the podium

In the IOR Classic, Massimiliano Feruzzi’s Il Moro di Venezia clinched a well-earned 3rd place after a very competitive season to complete a series of Monegasque podium finishes in the CIM 2025 ranking.

Monegasque consistency dominates in 2025

With podium finishes in four categories including a win in the Gaff cutter group, Yacht Club de Monaco highlights once again its role as a driving force in classic yachting. The Club’s ability to mobilise iconic boats to take part, all restored and maintained to the most demanding standards, reinforces its influence on Mediterranean and international stages.
