Yacht Club de Monaco’s young racers were out in force for this interleague regatta held in Canet-en-Roussillon 30 May-1 June. Seven races were completed over the three days. In the younger Benjamin group, 38 contestants were on the start, with a special mention for Pietro Carlevari who pulled off a superb 3rd place thanks mainly to winning one race. Of note too was the well-deserved podium finish and bronze medal in the girls category for Mona Benchekroun, who showed tremendous commitment and consistency throughout the regatta.

Louis Faivre came 10th confirming his steady progress. Behind them, others among the Club’s youngest sailors held their own in the testing conditions; Sacha Mousny (22nd), Jules Huon (23rd), Julian Lampert (26th), Mona Benchekroune (27th), Victor Marquet (29th), Anastasiya Verpeka Dolling (32nd) and Louis Pompée (36th), with all gaining valuable experience for the rest of the season ahead.
In the older Minime group, Océane Schroeder came 19th in a packed competitive fleet, a solid regatta that confirmed her potential against strong regional competition. The trip was another opportunity for the team to expand their techniques.
