Monaco Sportsboat Winter Series – Act II – 9-12 December 2021 – J/70

 

Saturday 11th December 2021. For this second, and final event for the year, the Monaco Sportsboat Winter Series is hosting the cream of the one design crop. A total of 51 international teams, the majority of which have a track record to make the best skippers blush, are here to compete, test and master the race area that will host the J/70 World Championship, organised for the first time by Yacht Club de Monaco (14-22 October 2022).

 

Russians grab top spot 

With a race win under their belts, this evening Milena Nikitina (Tenzor Sport) snatches top spot in the provisional ranking from Monegasque Giangiacomo Serena di Lapigio (G-Spot), yesterday’s leader.

Another great performance was the 2nd place of compatriot Inna Balashova (Dolce Vita) who finished 2nd to pull their team up the ranking into a provisional 3rd.

Fourth tonight with only six points separating him from the podium is Monegasque Ludovico Fassitelli (Junda), still in with a chance to spoil the party.

Tomorrow we will know the outcome of Act II and final order on the podium which will be revealed at the end of what promises to be a suspenseful day.
