Act II of the Monaco Sportsboat Winter Series kicked off today, Friday, in Monaco Bay in a south-westerly breeze, with around 30 teams completing two races in technically challenging conditions, a glimpse of the level of competition.
This evening, G-spot led by Giangiacomo Serena Di Lapigio heads the provisional ranking after winning one race and finishing in the top five in the second. Right behind them another Monaco sailor, Nico Poons (Charisma V), is in close second place, with the Swiss on Tarte-3nuits.com and Graeme Peterson’s Moonlight II, producing strong performances in the tussle for third.
In the Corinthian category, the Swiss on Tarte-3nuits.com have taken the lead although another Swiss team on Jerry remains in contention. That gap could close depending on tomorrow’s conditions.
As every year, the Monaco Sportsboat Winter Series offers an ideal venue for one design racing, enabling crews to maintain their rhythm and fine tune preparations for the season’s major events including the 42nd Primo Cup-Trophée UBS (5–8 March 2026).
L’acte II se poursuit le samedi 6 décembre avec le premier signal d’avertissement plus tôt que d’habitude, à 9h00.
