Celebration of youth
The opening ceremony marked the start of the 53rd Youth Sailing World Championships which ran from 15-19 July on Lake Garda. No fewer than 418 sailors from 70 countries were there including Noah Garcia and Louise Debeaumont from Yacht Club de Monaco competing in the ILCA 6 category.
Consistency on every start
Consistency was key to staying as close as possible to the leading pack of this international meeting. Jérémy Moutout and Bodhi Van Der Linden, both from Yacht Club de Monaco, were perfect examples. After six races contested in the Baltic Sea they finished 14th and 15th in ILCA 7 respectively, both managing a race in the top ten.
Another podium for Vamos mi Amor
Fifth stage on the calendar, the Coppa Europa is one of the last major stage events before the grand finale of the Smeralda 888 Championship held in Monaco 11-13 October. Another regatta that saw some superb results from the Monegasques with 2nd place for Vamos mi Amor helmed by Charles de Bourbon des Deux Siciles just behind Django.
Monegasques out in force
Laser sailors from Yacht Club de Monaco’s Sports Section made another trip to Breton shores for the France Open, a key event in the calendar for the ILCA 6 class in particular as it’s here where the French Men’s Championship takes place. Mathis Duplomb acquitted himself well over the course of eight races to come 14th overall having finished in the top ten in five of them.
11th Monaco Energy Boat Challenge: a laboratory of innovations driving technological progress
Speed record, teams battling it out on the water, and key players in the industry to support them, the 11th Monaco Energy Boat Challenge, organised by Yacht Club de Monaco, is established as the mecca for alternative propulsion in yachting. With 40 universities in competition, 700 students involved all-year of which 450 were here in Monaco, 25 nations and 50-plus boats on the sea, it once again stood out as a zero-emission event in terms of mobility.

At the Yacht Club de Monaco, alternative fuels take center stage
Monaco – “Alternative Fuels and Advanced Yachting Technologies” was the title of one of the conferences organized at the Yacht Club de Monaco during the Monaco Energy Boat Challenge, aiming to shape the yachting of the future. Sharing the ambition of the Monaco Capital of Advanced Yachting initiative, the conference focused on raising awareness about technology in the boating and yachting industries, specifically concerning alternative fuels and cutting-edge technologies.
At the Yacht Club de Monaco the hydrogen innovation in the maritime industry
Addressing hydrogen innovation in the maritime and yachting industry. It is the goal of the annual Hydrogen Round Table (5th edition this year) organised by the Prince Albert II of Monaco Foundation, the Monaco Energy Transition and YCM, that was held at the Yacht Club de Monaco during the Energy Boat Challenge.
Endurance race highlights performance
It was all systems go again for the 50 contestants at the Monaco Energy Boat Challenge. In chop whipped up by an easterly breeze the organisers went into overtime on the second day of competition, postponing the long-awaited start of the endurance trials.
