Malizia-Seaexplorer 5th in Nice

For the first time ever, The Ocean Race Europe stopped over in France with Leg 3 finishing in Nice. After 680 nautical miles from Cartagena and the Côte d’Azur city, the IMOCA Malizia–Seaexplorer of Boris Herrmann (Yacht Club de Monaco) crossed the line at 09:43 on Friday 29 August after 2 days 18 hours, 42 minutes and 53 seconds of racing. The crew clinched 5th place out of seven contestants and is now lying 4th in the provisional ranking.
160 boats afloat as Monaco Classic Week hits the silver screen

From 10 to 13 September 2025, the Principality will be buzzing with activity at the 17th Monaco Classic Week-La Belle Classe, a unique event that combines maritime tradition, lifestyle and culture. Ashore as at sea, the event organised by Yacht Club de Monaco will host some 50 classic sailing yachts, 14 period motor-yachts, 70 vintage powerboats including an exceptional fleet of 52 Rivas, and 25 from the 12’ Dinghy class. All are witnesses to a bygone era that continues to radiate in the Principality. This edition also becomes a gallery with two new exhibitions: Action! Classic Yachts on the Big Screen and Rock & Royals, a photographic series by Kos Evans.
Monegasques in the Top 10

Three years after hosting the last Championnats de France Jeunes, the Étang de Berre welcomed the Championnat de France Espoirs fleets. For this one, 495 selected sailors descended on Martigues for a championship that saw a strong Mistral, hot sun and unpredictable thermals. For the first few days it was a reminder of why this venue is one of the most demanding, both for those racing and the organisers.
A grand finale for the 20th Palermo-Montecarlo

The 20th anniversary of the Palermo-Montecarlo concluded as always at the Yacht Club de Monaco in the heart of the Principality with a packed and festive awards ceremony. Organised by Circolo della Vela Sicilia, in collaboration with Yacht Club de Monaco and Yacht Club Costa Smeralda, this offshore race links the Gulf of Mondello (Palermo) to the Principality of Monaco on a 500 nautical mile course. “I never imagined that we would enjoy 20 editions and with numbers always growing. This race continues to surprise sailors every year; it has become an unmissable event,” says YCM General Secretary Bernard d’Alessandri.
Hard-fought comeback: Team Malizia holds firm on longest leg of The Ocean Race Europe

After 1,400 nautical miles of racing from Portsmouth to Cartagena in Spain, Malizia-Seaexplorer crossed the finish of Leg 2 on Saturday 23 August at 13:44 (11:44 UTC) in 5th place after 5 days 19 hours 44 minutes and 11 seconds at sea. The result secures the IMOCA a 3rd place in the provisional ranking with three legs to go on the programme.
Alegre in contact in Palma bay

The TP52 fleet were racing again 18-23 August in the Mediterranean after two regattas in the Atlantic.
