oktoberfest

Ein Prosit

More than just a tradition… the Oktoberfest at the Yacht Club of Monaco has become an institution. Under the leadership of Anne-Marie Winkler and Laila Schlereth, alongside many members of the very active German community, the Y.C.M. adorns itself in white and blue to transform into a large Bavarian brewery. Each year, this event brings together nearly 500 club members who enjoy ‘good beer,’ dressed in ‘Dirndl’ (apron dress for women) and ‘Lederhosen’ (leather trousers for men)…

An evening with a Bavarian theme

In keeping with tradition, guests embrace the spirit of the occasion by dressing in traditional Bavarian attire: the Dirndl, a dress with an apron, for women, and Lederhosen, leather breeches, for men. Traditional decorations, music and Bavarian specialities complete the festive atmosphere, bringing members together with family and friends.
Beyond the festivities, Oktoberfest reflects the Club’s openness to the many nationalities that make up its community, as well as the joy of sharing and celebrating each other’s traditions.
