Podium finish for Carlo Falcone at Argentario Sailing Week

The 25th Argentario Sailing Week confirmed the regatta’s status as a major event on the Mediterranean classic boat calendar. Organised by Yacht Club Santo Stefano, the event brought together nearly 50 boats across eight categories. Over a thousand people, including owners, crew members, organisers and enthusiasts, had descended on Porto Santo Stefano. Conditions changed significantly as the week progressed, starting on the first day with a brisk 12 up to 16 knot westerly. The crews then enjoyed more consistent conditions before confronting much lighter winds on the third day when the Race Committee had to delay the start of a 15.5-nautical-mile race. All in all the variable conditions made for tactically challenging races.

Mariella confirms her status among Big Boat class contenders

Competing in the Big Boat category, Mariella remained in contention throughout the week. Up against five other prestigious yachts, Carlo Falcone and his crew proved remarkably consistent with three third-place finishes to secure a solid 3rd place overall.

Carlo Falcone mounted the podium at Argentario Sailing Week thanks to a masterful series of races in a very competitive fleet. This latest result confirms his ability to excel at major classic regattas, such as Monaco Classic Week-La Belle Classe, when he won in 2021.
