The 17th Monaco Classic Week-La Belle Classe again confirmed Yacht Club de Monaco’s pivotal role as the cradle of classic yachting. Between century-old sailing yachts, period motor yachts, vintage powerboats and the Dinghy 12’ class, Club members flew the Principality’s flag high at this unique event dedicated to maritime sailing heritage.

YCM members at the top of the leaderboard

In Classic Marconi, Argynne III came 1st ahead of two other boats led by YCM member Niall Robinson: Brynhilde (2nd) and Sardonyx (3rd). A hat-trick that shows how dynamic the Monaco fleet is in this emblematic category.
In the Big Boats, Carlo Falcone skippered Mariella into 3rd place, while Mark Dixon (Elena of London) was 8th against tough international competition.

In the Vintage Gaff, YCM also did well with Kostia Belkin clinching 3rd place aboard Viola, while Jean-Raymond Boulle’s Partridge came 9th in the 140th anniversary year of this legendary boat.
In the Vintage Marconi, Antonio Mazzarella steered Carron II into 3rd place proving the consistency of the Club’s members in all classes represented.
Finally, in the highly competitive Dinghy 12’ category, where the lightest touch is required for every manoeuvre, No Way helmed by YCM member Alessandro Pedone came 3rd.
