On Sunday 11 January, race officials, volunteers from the Flotte des Commissaires and event organisers gathered at the Yacht Club de Monaco for a SCORE training session. La Belle Classe Academy opens its doors to racing with training to support competition

Organised by Thierry Leret, YCM’s Race Officer, in collaboration with the Regional Race Officials Committee, this inaugural SCORE training session familiarised participants with the new features of this benchmark results management tool.
Since 2023, the French Sailing Federation has been developing this new scoring system to replace FREG, which has been in use for almost 20 years.

The seminar will be repeated throughout the year at the YCM’s La Belle Classe Academy training centre to support evolving practices and further enhance the quality of race organisation.

The presence of race officials, Flotte des Commissaires volunteers, and event organisers reflects the desire to foster a collective training dynamic accuracy, consistency, and efficiency in race management.
