Among the entered teams, Team Charisma, with Nico Poons, finished fifth overall. Consistent throughout the week, they were the only team, alongside the overall winner, not to place lower than sixth in any race, demonstrating an impressive level of consistency in such a competitive format.
Artemis Racing, helmed by Torbjörn Törnqvist, secured sixth place overall. The Swedish crew made an early impact with a race win on the opening day, confirming their comfort in the challenging conditions off Puerto Calero.
Meanwhile, Team Nika, led by Vladimir Prosikhin, finished seventh. Despite a challenging week involving tactical adjustments and intense competition on the racecourse, the team secured a race victory and maintained their upward momentum in a championship where the standard is constantly rising.
This edition of the 44Cup Calero Marinas once again demonstrated the intensity of the RC44 circuit, with five different race winners over six days and minimal margins, with races often being decided in the final stages. Against this backdrop, the consistent presence of Yacht Club de Monaco members at the forefront of the fleet highlights their dedication to one of the world’s most competitive one-design circuits.
Attention now turns back to the Mediterranean for the next event in Puntaldia, Sardinia, where the balance observed in the Canary Islands may be challenged once again.
