Exceptional conditions with steady trade winds, choppy seas and a battle of the giants, on a legendary course around 11 islands, saw the winning streak continue for YCM members. The 2026 edition was lively and spectacular, at times almost surreal, with the Monaco sailors maintaining their positions in the rankings. For the 17th RORC Caribbean 600, technical mastery, judging weather forecasts and precise strategies made the difference. The result was overall domination at the top and an offshore spectacle at the highest level.

Winning streak continues for YCM members: undisputed performances

Line honours triumph for Black Jack 100

Remon Vos and Tristan Le Brun from YCM on Black Jack 100 won the Monohull Line Honours after a thrilling duel with Leopard 3, also from the Club. They completed the course in 1 day 20 hours 31 minutes and 36 seconds, 29 minutes 4 seconds faster than Joost Schuijff’s Leopard 3. It was a fierce battle between the two giant 100-footers, a match race where every gybe and decision taken downwind of Guadeloupe proved crucial. In the IRC Super Zero, Black Jack 100 was 2nd, confirming their unstoppable rise on the offshore circuit. After success in the Fastnet and Middle Sea Race in 2025, they followed up with a solid performance in the Caribbean.

Leopard 3 domination in the overall rankings

While Black Jack 100 won in real time, Joost Schuijff’s Leopard 3 made an even stronger impact in corrected time:

  • 1st IRC Overall
  • 1st IRC Super Zero
  • 1st CSA Overall
  • 1st CSA One
  • 2nd Line Honours Monohull

A masterclass in match racing, Leopard 3 exploited all their power close-hauled, particularly on the long upwind legs in a steady 15 to 20 knots.

Clash of the titans at the top

The confrontation between the two 100-footers was one of the big highlights of this edition, with leadership changes, relaunches under the islands and weather transitions completing the show.

At the Barbuda Mark, Nevis and Guadeloupe, gaps were counted in minutes, sometimes seconds. In these challenging conditions, sailing was transformed into a highwire act.

Yacht Club de Monaco members unstoppable

What stands out this year is not just isolated successes but the momentum gained, with Yacht Club de Monaco members setting benchmarks on the international offshore circuit. Performance, dominance in the rankings, consistency and commitment, they are setting the pace. In this RORC Caribbean 600 2026, they didn’t just participate, they were the show, confirming that the winning streak continues for YCM members.
