Optimist results: YCM Minimes group on the rise to the top

After a perfectly executed first race, Pietro Carlevaris established a rhythm to win the class thanks to a 1st, 1st and 3rd place. In his wake, Océane Schroeder also put in an excellent performance with a 2-2-1 to come 2nd in the overall ranking and finish as the top girl in the regatta. This double podium for Monaco demonstrates remarkable consistency and how the Club’s young sailors are growing in stature in the Optimist Minimes category.

Potential behind

Behind the Monegasque podium, the YCM delegation continue to progress as a group with Louis Faivre (10th), Joséphine Dobbeleare (11th), Sacha Mousny (12th), Jules Huon (14th) and Anastasiya Verpeka-Dolling (23rd) all demonstrating in their own way the group work accomplished during the year. With seven competing, the majority were ranked in the first half of the overall ranking.

These latest Optimist results highlight the Club’s ability to excel in the top age category while preparing young athletes for upcoming regional and national events.
