RORC Caribbean 600
The highly-anticipated 16th RORC Caribbean 600 got off to a great start from Fort Charlotte, Antigua. In bright sunshine and trade winds blowing over 16 gusting 20 knots the 66 teams took the start of this legendary race around 11 idyllic islands in the Caribbean. A dream backdrop for an intense offshore challenge.
Exceptional line-up
With over 500 sailors from 38 countries, the RORC Caribbean 600 is a must on any serious sailor’s calendar, as defending champions, seasoned professional crews and ambitious amateurs compete in what is always a tough contest. Headlining the race, the Maxis, high-performance multihulls and cruiser-racers compete on speed and strategy to add their name to the prize list.
In the IRC Super Zero, all eyes were on Leopard 3, Joost Schuijff’s Farr 100 flying the Yacht Club de Monaco flag. Winner in 2009 with a record, he was back to defend his title (IRC Overall winner in best corrected time in 2024) against formidable competition.
Despite a fierce battle with Bryon Ehrhart’s Lucky, the Monegasque Farr 100 finished 8th in IRC Overall, 6th in IRC Super Zero and 4th in CSA.
