orty-nine crews numbering a total of 200 sailors from 13 nations descended on Yacht Club Porto Rotondo in Italy which hosted the RS21 World Championship at the end of September. The atmosphere was electric as this relatively new class reached another milestone in 2025, with this its most international and competitive event to date.

The 47th Régates Royales de Cannes lived up to expectations with over 120 classic sailboats at the meeting. For a week, the bay of Cannes was blessed with light winds gusting over 20 knots to produce an exciting spectacle full of suspense.

3rd place for Alegre

After a week of changeable Sardinian conditions, YCM member Andres Soriano and his crew on Alegre left Porto Cervo with a well-earned 3rd place.

After a solid start to the regatta, including 3rd in the second race, the YCM-flagged TP52 raced with impressive consistency. In a Mistral blowing over 25 knots, Andres Soriano and his men even led the fleet in the provisional ranking before ceding to Sled who went on to win the event.

The theme Our Ocean, Our Obligation, Our Opportunity of World Maritime Day, organised by the International Maritime Organization, reflects the vital role the Ocean plays on the day Yacht Club de Monaco (YCM) gathered a hundred superyacht captains and international experts for the 29th Captains’ Forum entitled Leading today ahead of tomorrow. The event, created in 2007 and organised by the YCM Captains’ Club, brought together more than 115 superyacht captains, representing a combined fleet length of 4,973 metres, and recently welcomed 14 new members.

A pivotal player on the international yachting scene, Yacht Club de Monaco again set the tone at the opening of the 34th Monaco Yacht Show. As part of the collective ‘Monaco, Capital of Advanced Yachting’ approach, YCM brought together 64 owners of yachts over 40m flying the YCM flag for its annual Owners Lunch. A total of 2,344 linear metres represented confirms the Club’s central role in the global yachting world.

Yacht Club de Monaco hosted the 5th Monaco Smart & Sustainable Marina Rendezvous on 21-22 September 2025, organised by MC Monaco, a consulting firm specialised in the development and management of marinas, yacht clubs and sailing schools. With the support of the Prince Albert II of Monaco Foundation and renowned partners including Bombardier, MB92 Group and the Italian Yacht Masters association, the event gathered an international ecosystem of marinas for two days of exchanges, innovations and cooperation.

Team Malizia ends The Ocean Race Europe 2025 in style to clinch 4th place overall

After more than 4,500 nautical miles, five legs and six weeks of intense racing, The Ocean Race Europe 2025 ended on Saturday in Boka Bay, Montenegro. The crew on Malizia-Seaexplorer led by Boris Herrmann from Yacht Club de Monaco delivered a strong performance on the Final Coastal Race to rise up the ranks and secure 4th place overall.

The Swan Tuscany Challenge, fifth stage in the Nations League 2025 by ClubSwan Racing, drew to a close in Marina di Scarlino. For five days, Tuscany hosted 25 teams representing 12 nations putting on a show where strategy, talent and a competitive spirit were expressed at the highest level.

The 17th Monaco Classic Week-La Belle Classe ended on a high, confirming its status as a stand-alone meeting in the calendar of classic yacht events, with over 150 boats, sailing and motor, gathered in the YCM Marina and bay of Monaco. HSH Prince Albert II of Monaco came to greet the crews and praise the commitment of owners who keep this sailing heritage alive.

The 5th Monaco Smart & Sustainable Marina Rendezvous is once again being held at the Yacht Club de Monaco on 21-22 September. Organised by M3 Monaco, a consulting firm specialised in the development and management of marinas, yacht clubs and sailing schools, the event gathers investors, architects, marina managers, manufacturers and innovators. All share the same goal to speed up the environmental transition and build sustainable, connected, people-centred marina infrastructure. This initiative is supported by well-known partners like Bombardier, MB92 Group and the Italian Yacht Masters association who alongside M3 in Monaco are committed to supporting forward-thinking debate and innovation.
