On the second day of the 17th Monaco Classic Week, the pace picked up with a packed programme, including a visit from HSH Prince Albert II of Monaco, President of the Yacht Club de Monaco. With traditional sailing regattas, a Chefs’ Competition showcasing culinary creativity, and a photographic rally for motorboats, the event once again highlighted the unique facets of Monaco’s maritime heritage.

Every year, Monaco Classic Week-La Belle Classe brings together owners who are united by the same conviction: to preserve and pass on a legacy of living maritime heritage. Whether they are traditional sailing yachts, vintage motor yachts or classic powerboats, every boat is treated with the same profound respect by its owner. Each one embodies the link between past and present in its own way. Jean-Yves Brun is one such owner. He is in Monaco with his classic powerboat, Rex II, and a unique story to tell that is testament to the relationship between a man and a boat that has made history.
The YCM celebrates the heritage of yachting by opening Monaco Classic Week

In line with its mission to preserve and pass on the heritage of yachting, the Yacht Club de Monaco is launching the 17th Monaco Classic Week. This unique event is bringing together an impressive fleet of over 150 vessels, including traditional sailing yachts, vintage motor yachts and 70 classic powerboats, including fifty Rivas and 25 of the Dinghy 12’ class. Open to the public until Saturday, the quays will showcase more than a century of living maritime heritage.
17th Monaco Classic Week gets underway

Launched in 1994, Monaco Classic Week remains one of the few in the world able to bring together classic sailing yachts, period motor-yachts, vintage powerboats and classic Dinghy 12’ Class boats in one place. Today until tomorrow, a veritable flotilla will fill the YCM Marina with a fleet of 150 boats displayed along the quays open to the public, showcasing over a century of living maritime heritage. Races start tomorrow at 2.00pm.

The allure of the sea, the splendour of the world’s most beautiful yachts and a great evening of music all helped make the tenth Ferretti Group Private Preview a memorable and exclusive event, held this year from September 4 to 7 in the unique setting of the Yacht Club de Monaco.
Yacht Club de Monaco podium finishes at Vele d’Epoca di Imperia

For the final test run before Monaco Classic Week-La Belle Classe, the Vele d’Epoca d’Imperia provided a beautiful setting for classic sailing boats from all over the Mediterranean. Yacht Club de Monaco members were there, battling it out in the vanguard.

Edward Wright pulls off solid 13th place

Douarnenez Bay hosted the Yanmar Dragon Gold Cup, an iconic event in the Dragon class. For five days, the best international teams went head to head in unstable conditions swinging between tricky calm seas and strong winds. But despite postponements, six races were completed.
