Founded in 1953 by Prince Rainier and presided over since 1984 by H.S.H. Prince Sovereign Albert II, the Yacht Club de Monaco brings together 2,500 members representing 82 nationalities.

Bringing under its burgee some of the world’s most prestigious private yachts, the Y.C.M. now occupies a unique position in the world of yachting and international luxury boating.

13°Monaco Energy Boat Challenge

Hosted by the Yacht Club de Monaco since 2014, the Monaco Energy Boat Challenge brings together students, engineers and industry leaders to demonstrate that clean technology and performance can advance together on the water.

The 13th Monaco Energy Boat Challenge is officially underway. The prototypes are now in the water, ready for the first sea trials, including timed laps, manoeuvrability and docking tests, and speed trials depending on their category.

A day dedicated to innovation, featuring qualifying rounds, speed record attempts, the Advanced Yachting Tech Conference, and numerous discussions among students, researchers, and industry leaders—all gathered to shape the future of sustainable yachting.

An action-packed day on the water with the Endurance Race and the 16 NM Speed Race. Teams put their technologies to the test, combining energy management, performance, range and reliability, all in the pursuit of more sustainable yachting.

A day driven by speed and precision with the Slalom and the Championship. Teams put their boats and technologies to the test, combining agility, performance and reliability in the race towards more sustainable yachting.

EVENTS

In accordance with its statutes and its mission to serve as “a link between people who love the sea and the tourism and promotional interests of the Principality,” the Yacht Club de Monaco organizes numerous sporting and social events throughout the year, as reflected in its 2026 programme.
