La Belle Classe Academy has been training tomorrow’s professionals since 2015 and is now established as a leader in the yachting industry. Under the aegis of the collective ‘Monaco, Capital of Advanced Yachting’ initiative, Yacht Club de Monaco’s training centre supports professionals in a 360o programme centred on Continuing Professional development (CPD). Be it navigation, the art of hospitality, etiquette, protocol or management, all courses meet the requirements of an industry that is constantly evolving.
Structured around specialised pathways, La Belle Classe Academy trains tomorrow’s professionals and is now an internationally recognised centre. Its Yachting Masterclass programme is accredited by the International Association of Maritime Institutions (IAMI), while several technical courses are certified by the Royal Yachting Association (RYA),a global reference for boating and water sports training. This recognition by two highly reputable bodies underpins the quality of the instruction provided and its alignment with professionals expectations.
Always keen to pass on its passion for yachting to as many people as possible, La Belle Classe Academy also develops programmes specifically for young people. The Summer Yachting Camp, organised every year at the Yacht Club de Monaco, is aimed at 16-22 year-olds wanting to experience what the yachting world has to offer.
Open to all in this age group, with no prior experience required or obligation to be a YCM member, this immersive programme is a chance to learn how to drive a motorboat or jet-ski, learn about the weather, safety at sea and first aid, as well as enjoying more recreational activities such as swimming and diving, depending on the programme proposed. Supervised by professionals, participants can gain recognised certifications such as the RYA Powerboat Level 2 and Personal Watercraft.
As well as professional courses and introductory programmes, La Belle Classe Academy actively promotes yachting-related professions. Through initiatives like the YCM Yachting Student Fair, the Yacht Club de Monaco supports young people with their career choices and helps attract people into the industry.
For over a decade, La Belle Classe Academy has cemented its role as a specialised yachting training centre for professionals, students and enthusiasts while contributing to Monaco’s influence on the international maritime stage.
