Win Win and Highland Fling 18 claimed victory in Palma at the 30th edition of the Superyacht Cup Palma. In the Mallorca bay, Kim Schindelhauer from Yacht Club de Monaco won Superyacht Class A with Win Win, while Lord Laidlaw steered Highland Fling 18 to victory in the Multihull category. These two successes capped off a perfectly executed week of racing.
For its 13th anniversary, the Superyacht Cup Palma gathered 20 boats across five classes in the waters off Mallorca. Dedicated to the big sailing yachts, the event continues to attract some of the most remarkable boats in the international fleet.
Sailing conditions were excellent for the first two days, as the Bay of Palma lived up to its reputation with a steady thermal breeze, boosted on the second day by a stronger wind, that made for fast races and plenty of reaching. However, the final day’s races were cancelled due to lack of wind, with the final outcomes based on the previous day.
In Superyacht Class A, Win Win was very quick to take the lead. After winning the first two days of competition, Kim Schindelhauer’s crew successfully maintained their advantage through to the final ranking. This latest victory confirms its status in Palma, adding more silverware to an already impressive track record.
In the new Multihull category, included for only the second time in the event’s history, Highland Fling 18 also set the pace. This stage serves as the second event in the Mediterranean Maxi Multihull Challenge 2026, organised by the International Maxi Association. Lord Laidlaw’s multihull proved fastest in both races as it set about dominating a particularly spectacular fleet in the waters off Mallorca.
Win Win and Highland Fling 18 claimed victory in Palma. Both victories in different classes demonstrate their ability to excel in monohulls and multihulls against stiff competition, and confirm the standing of Monaco representatives among major players in the sailing world.
