J/70 Italia Cup – Porto Ecole | 14-16 April

Sunday 16th April 2023. One of the most competitive events ever organised by the Italian J/70 Class ended this afternoon at Porto Ercole, where a 35-strong fleet were competing in the first stage of the J/70 Cup 2023. Favourable weather conditions saw eight hotly contested races completed, the overall winner only emerging on the final leg to the finish of the last race. G-Spot led by Giangiacomo Serena di Lapigio of Yacht Club de Monaco kept up the pressure in a bid to make the podium’s top step, but despite some excellent races he came 3rd tied in 2nd place and just one point adrift of the top spot. Stefano Roberti on Piccinina finished an honourable 7th.
