Melges 20 and Melges 32 – Melges World League – Villasimius – Sardinia – 27-30 August 2021
Monday 30th August 2021. The pace of this fourth act was reflected in fabulous conditions and number of races completed. No time for teams in the Melges 20 and Melges 32 fleets to rest on their laurels at any stage. After a stunning finale, Yacht Club de Monaco’s Vladimir Prosikhin (Nika) clinched 2nd in the Melges 20 class, just two points ahead of the winning team. Not far behind, Matteo Marenghi Vaselli (Raya) finished 5th while Valentin Zavadnikov (Synergy) and Anatoly Karachinsky (Path) were 14th and 16th respectively.
King of the party
In the Melges 32, Vincenzo Onorato (Mascalzone Latino) won hands down after eight races. A superb performance on the eve of the class’s World Championship which starts on the same race area Wednesday 1st September.
