Duplomb spreads his wings
Newly arrived on the ILCA 4 (Laser 4.7) circuit, Mathis Duplomb has very quickly found his feet. After years spent on Optimists, he has all the makings of a great champion, be it the way he positions himself on the start, controls the fleet, masters manoeuvres or reads the course, skills he deployed throughout this France Championship. Finishing in the top four in six of the eight races, Mathis clinched 3rd to win the bronze medal which augurs well for the upcoming season.
Simple and effective
They were aiming for good results and that’s what they got. Davide Marino put in a very consistent performance, jostling for position to clinch 5th place after nine races. In the ILCA 6 (Laser Radial), Monaco Sport Academy members Bodhi van Der Linden and Thomas Mangano tackled the challenge head on to gain a 4th and 9th place respectively. Mathieu Choquet finished 34th.
