ILCA 7 – Portugal Grand Prix – Vilamoura
The 7th Portugal Grand Prix just ended in spectacular style confirming its status as a flagship event on the international dinghy circuit. From 12 to 16 December 2024, Vilamoura Sailing hosted this top level competition for the best in ILCA 6 (men and women), ILCA 7, 49er, 49erFX and mixed 470 classes.
With 301 boats, 399 sailors and 85 coaches, this 7th edition of the Grand Prix stands out as one of the most hotly contested of the season, living up to its promise with some thrilling races.
Monaco represented: Jérémy Moutout in the race
Yacht Club de Monaco was represented in ILCA 7 by Jérémy Moutout who finished an honourable 44th after eight races. A solid performance against a top level international fleet. The Portugal Grand Prix benefits from a prestigious 100-point grade from World Sailing, evidence of its high standing on the international sailing calendar.
