GC32 Lagos Cup – Portugal
30th June – 4th July 2021
Sunday 4th July 2021. Having won 11 of the 18 races completed and with a massive 25-point lead over the number 2, YCM’s Ernesto Bertarelli and his team on Alinghi confirmed their leader status on the GC32 circuit. Impossible for the competition to turn the tide as the Swiss had mastered a tactical and technically very difficult race area. In mostly rough conditions, the teams on the foiling catamarans could not afford to make the slightest mistake. All will be in Lagos again from 28th July for the season’s second stage.
