Optimist – League – Diano Marina Italy – 17-18 April 2021

 

Sunday 18th April 2021. The young racers from the Yacht Club de Monaco’s Sports Section gave their all at this first regatta of the league season held at Diano Marina in Italy which attracted a fleet of 42 contestants. Five races were completed in variable conditions oscillating between 3 to 20 knots. The result: a 100% Monegasque podium with Noah Garcia clinching 1st place followed by Matteo Asscher and Ludovica Bonelli who was also first in the girls. Namu Van der Linden came in 8th, Alexandre Pompée 18th and Allessandro Asscher 22nd. These excellent results are proof that all the hard work put in during numerous training sessions is really paying off.
