Sunday 3rd May 2020. The big Melges family has been meeting online since the end of March to compete in the very first Virtual Melges World League. Owners, crew and those who just wanted to play responded to this initiative by the class’s American and European organisers. In total 264 contestants from 30 countries took up the challenge, including two Yacht Club de Monaco members. Giangiacomo Serena di Lapigio (G-Spot) and Achille Onorato (Mascalzone Latino Jr) finished 59th and 120th respectively after 15 races, all categories combined. Among owners, G-Spot put in a fine performance to clinch 4th place after five races including one win.
