Ora Cup at Lake Garda
Sunday 9th August 2020 – This weekend saw the Yacht Club de Monaco’s Optimist Team competing in its first regatta of the season at Lake Garda, Italy, for the Ora Cup which this year attracted an international field of 248 competitors.
Winds were light to moderate for the first six races, hotting up for the last three with a fresh 15-20 knot breeze kicking in making it difficult for some contestants.
Noah Garcia pulled off the best result, with a 41st place taking him into the Gold category.
The goal was to get back into the swing of racing and boost team spirit. After two days of well-earned rest the Yacht Club de Monaco Team will be back on the water in Malcesine from 11thAugust 2020 for the Trofeo Simone Lombardi.
