IRC European Championship – Cannes

Saturday 3rd June 2023. After the Cannes Film Festival it was the turn of sailing at the 8th IRC European Championship in Cannes, a major event on the international circuit. Around 50 boats were in competition as a large number of nations including Italy, Belgium, Poland, England, Sweden, France and Monaco descended on the film capital. Organised by Yacht Club de Cannes with support from the Union Nationale de la Course au Large, the race section of Yacht Club de France and the Royal Ocean Racing Club, the championship is for cruiser-race boats in the IRC4 to IRC0 categories. Peter Harrison from Yacht Club de Monaco came 2nd in IRC0 and IRC 1 on his TP52 Jolt 3 after seven races.
