TF35 Scarlino – 6-9 October

 

Sunday 9th October 2022. The 2022 TF35 season ended with a final stage played out in the Gulf of Follonica in Scarlino, Italy. Winner of this last meeting, Esteban Garcia (Realteam for Leman Hope) started the season determined to defend his TF35 Trophy title for the second year in a row. However, as the team’s manager Jérôme Clerc explains: “It was difficult as Alinghi Red Bull Racing wanted to beat us and they did really well. We had a great battle with them throughout the season”. Despite losing the title, Realteam for Leman Hope sailed an almost perfect regatta during the week in Scarlino, winning seven out of nine races and dominating the rankings with an impressive six-point lead in the final tally.
