Puerto Portals 52 Super Series Sailing Week – 21-26 July 2022

 

Tuesday 26th July 2022. The meeting’s venue was enough to whet the appetites of the teams that made the trip. Seasoned professionals, used to all scenarios, the sailors competing in the third stage, mid-way through the 2022 season for the TP52 class, were not left twiddling their thumbs. The Race Committee launched ten races, enough to keep the pressure and pace up in the ranks for these 52-footers. Variable conditions upended the final rankings, which saw 3rd place Quantum Racing with the Yacht Club de Monaco’s excellent Federico Michetti onboard, slipping to 4th ahead of Alegre led by Andres Soriano, also a YCM member, finishing 7th. When autumn beckons, the fleet will be in Scarlino, Italy, for the fourth and penultimate event of the circuit.
