E-Sailing Autumn Championship
Sunday 22nd November 2020. First stage qualifiers ended today for contestants in the E-Sailing Autumn Championship organised on Virtual Regatta Inshore by the Yacht Club de Monaco. The meeting has attracted 31 competitors who normally sail on dinghies, keelboats, classic boats or cruisers.
Dominated by the masterly Tangi Le Goff who won all three races, the Championship is on J/70s and governed by World Sailing’s Virtual Racing Rules of Sailing. The regatta is a chance for any sailor to compete on a level playing field in terms of the boat, tactical decisions being the only factor separating out the winners.
The second event is scheduled for Sunday 29th November with the penultimate qualifying stage on 6th December before the grand finale on the 13th.
