Classics & Moderns – Régates Napoléon – Ajaccio | 24-29 May 2022
Sunday 29th May 2022. Once again, the Gulf of Ajaccio was smiling down on the crew aboard Yacht Club de Monaco’s flagship Tuiga who won at the Régates Napoléon for the second year in a row. Favourite from the start, the 15M IR was racing alongside other classic yacht legends including Manitou, John Fitzgerald Kennedy’s former presidential yacht. Varied conditions between 5 and 25 knots accompanied the fleet for five days of racing, enough for crews who had been champing at the bit to be out racing again. The YCM’s gaff cutter will again drop anchor in Corsica in Calvi, this time to join the Smeralda 888s at the Corsica Cup.
