Trophée Grimaldi – San Remo-Ventimiglia-Monaco-San Remo | 28-30 October

 

Sunday 30th October 2022. Around 50 boats lined up on the start of the Grimaldi Trophy, an inshore round trip race between Sanremo and the Principality, co-organised by Yacht Club Sanremo and Yacht Club de Monaco. YCM was represented by five boats, namely Tuiga the YCM’s flagship, Les Amis of Valter Pizzoli, Gorilla Gang XL helmed by Andrea Statari, Alcyon by Alain Mazzoleni and Adalberto Miani’s Galtea. There were several stages to the programme including a first with the 11.6 nautical mile leg on Friday taking the fleet to Ventimiglia from Sanremo. Saturday morning, the fleet headed for Monaco before setting off back to Sanremo on the Sunday. Valter Pizzoli (Les Amis) emerged the winner with Tuiga ranked 6th.
