The European Championship kickstarted the kitefoil season, plunging fans of this sport into the heart of the Mar Menor lagoon on the Spanish Mediterranean coast. All the best kitefoilers were there, ready to do battle. With four months to Paris 2024, this championship was particularly important for those seeking to secure a place in the Olympics. Competition was fierce from start to finish and the results did not disappoint with a very good 11th place by Maxine Nocher from Yacht Club de Monaco and 18th for Monegasque Alexander Ehlen. The French Olympic Week (20 -27 April 2024) is the next not-to-be-missed challenge as it is the final qualifying event for the Olympics.
