ILCA – France-Kerguelen Internationals

Saturday 15^th July 2023. Three days were enough for the Monegasques to make their mark on this event that saw around a hundred Laser contestants on the water.

It may have been overcast and raining in the Breton sky, but sun from the south stood on the podium’s top step. In ILCA 6, Bodhi van Der Linden from Yacht Club de Monaco nailed his colours to the mast from the start of this championship. After winning four of the seven races, this talented young Laser sailor won the meeting 12 points ahead of his nearest rivals.  Note that this regatta is one of two French Championship events in this category.

In ILCA 7, Davide Marino came 12^th in the youngest group and Namu van Der Linden finished 24^th in ILCA 4. Next up on the calendar for Yacht Club de Monaco’s Laser sailors is the France Espoir Championship at La Rochelle 19-28 August with 11 categories competing.
