Brave souls in wintery conditions 

Optimist – Marseille Coach Regatta | 21-22 January 2023

Sunday 22^nd January 2023. The weather did not play ball in Marseille which hosted the 6^th Coach Regatta organised by the YCPR and ASPTT Marseille. With the aim being to help young sailors progress, this is a training regatta where coaches can intervene to give tips to their charges during races.

Ashore there were also workshops on racing rules accompanied by a debriefing video. With temperatures nudging close to zero and winds topping 33 knots at times, the youngsters had to dig deep. In the Élite group, Ludovica Bonelli did well to bag 18^th out of 89, finishing 5^th best girl. In the same category, Alexandra Santelli came 69^th. In the younger Espoir group, Roman Lampert and Frederik Holst finished 35^th and 46^th.
