Swan – The Nations League 2023 | 25-29 April
Saturday 29th April 2023. The Swan Croatia Challenge kicked off the ClubSwan Racing season with an array of conditions creating some great racing for the one design fleet of 10 ClubSwan 36 boats. Based at the ACI Marina in Split’s historic port in Croatia, the crews were greeted by a classic ‘Bora’ wind, a strong north-easterly over the Adriatic Sea that dropped to produce ideal race conditions which returned on the second day. A light breeze on the penultimate day required all the light air skills and tactical knowhow they could muster. Yacht Club de Monaco’s Giangiacomo Serena di Lapigio’s G-Spot confirmed why it is one of the boats to beat this season, as the Monaco-flagged ClubSwan 36 won five out of five races. “It’s the first time in my life that we’ve managed five out of five wins so we’re very happy,” said a delighted Giangiacomo Serena di Lapigio.
