41st Copa Del Rey – Palma de Mallorca
Saturday 5th August 2023. Yacht Club de Monaco members proved consistent and combative at the 41st Copa del Rey. The thermals were kind to the Spanish race area creating great conditions for the 70 boats in competition to express themselves in eight classes.
After five days of intense competition, the Moonlight crew led by YCM member Graeme Peterson pulled off a worthy 5th place in the ClubSwan 50, finishing in the top five in four races. Leonardo Ferragamo’s Cuordileone, also from YCM, was hot on his heels but had to be content with 6th place, just one point adrift of Moonlight. In ORC 2, Roberto Tamburelli on Rachistar came 6th, results proving that Club members are up there with the best.
