Sunday 12th July 2020. Yacht Club de Monaco’s Laser team was in Andorra for the weekend to compete in two qualifiers for the Italian National Championship.
There were 52 sailors in competition, five from the YCM including Bodhi Van Der Linden who pulled off a great result in the Laser 4.7 to mount the second step of the podium on Saturday 11th July. A convincing result as he went on to finish 3rd on Sunday.
In the Laser Standard, Jérémy Moutout came 2nd just behind Italian Gallego Giovanni in tricky conditions with a very unstable wind. In the Radial group, Sara Sofia Odisio was 10th, Thomas Mangano 14th and Davide Marino 20th.
On the second day, Jérémy Moutout clinched an excellent 1st place out of five contestants. In the Radial, Thomas Mangano upped his game to come 9th, with Sara Sofia Odisio finishing 14th and Davide Marino 16th.
Some encouraging results for this first major meeting since lock-down.
