J/70 – World Championship – St. Petersburg
Sunday 5th November 2023. Eighty-three teams from 15 nationalities turned out for the J/70 World Championship organised by the St. Petersburg Yacht Club in Florida. Kicking off on Halloween, the organisers pushed on with almost back-to-back races in Tampa Bay with a total of ten races completed in superb conditions. Throughout the week winds varied from a light to steady breeze. Alongside Argentina, Australia, Brazil, Canada, Chili, Germany, Great Britain, Mexico, Norway, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Turkey and USA, was Monaco represented by the crew on Leonteq, led by Yacht Club de Monaco member Pierrik Devic, which finished 37th in the overall ranking.
