French Espoir Glisse Championship – Martigues – 14-20 August 2021

 

Friday 20th August 2021. Weather conditions at Berre lagoon were not always ideal for the French Glisse Championship 2021, with the Mistral not making it easy for organisers and competitors for whom the days were extremely intense. Twelve races were run in the Nacra 15 class in which two Monegasque pairs were competing.

Lucas Frederiksen and François Lamy had clearly learned some lessons during long hours of training leading up to this event and came in a very respectable 10th place, finishing in the top three in three of the races. Julian Choquenet and Louise De Beaumont finished 27th.

Same race area but a different fleet for a week of the French Solitaire Equipage Championship with several of our young sailors in the Sports Section competing: Mathieu Choquet, Bodhi Van der Linden, Thomas Mangano, Mathis Duplomb and Davide Marino in the ILCA 6, 4 and 7 categories.
